The Father John J. Mara Society
Father John J. Mara was the first director of Holyoke Catholic High
School. Under his leadership, four distinct high schools (Holy Rosary,
St. Jerome, Sacred Heart, and Precious Blood) united and strengthened
their lives by becoming one new institution. By virtue of his faith,
vision, and spirit, Holyoke Catholic High School grew and flourished.
Father Mara served for 13 years, from 1962 to 1976.
